Make your own animated films with the PAPER CUT-OUTS Workshop, using the paper elements and original backgrounds McLaren created when he animated his classic film Le merle.
**SCRATCH ON FILM Workshop**
The SCRATCH ON FILM Workshop allows you to scratch, draw and paint free-form images directly onto film frames, a technique McLaren made famous through inspired films like Blinkity Blank and Begone Dull Care.
**SYNTHETIC SOUND Workshop**
With this workshop, you can try your hand at the synthetic sound experiment McLaren undertook in his vibrant and award-winning Synchromy, whose music was created by drawing directly onto the soundtrack area of the film strip.
The McLaren’s Workshop requires iOS 5.1 and above.
Though it can be run on an iPad 1, we recommend using an iPad 2 to fully enjoy all the apps features.
